Research Interests: The neural mechanisms involved in sensorimotor integration among orofacial and vocal tract structures during speech, vocalization, and oromotor control in infants, children, and adults. Special emphasis on premature infants at-risk for brain injury and activity-dependant mechanisms of neural plasticity. With Parkinson's patients, research on deep brain stimulator implants and the affect on fine motor control.
